Metal detecting with Black Hawk metal detector
On a sunny day some colleagues from OKM grabbed a Black Hawk pulse induction metal detector and started treasure hunting in a nearby wooden area with some old houses. During our search we found several buried items and artifacts. Mostly some old coins were detected but also some other objects the people lost over the past years. This was also a good opportunity for OKM to get new ideas for further improving the Black Hawk metal detector. eXp 4000 ground scanner detects historical artifact
A successful treasure hunter from Kermanshah in Iran informed us about his latest treasure find. With the OKM ground scanner eXp 4000 he detected this historical figure made of bronze in 1,65 m depth. The artifact has a size of 5 cm x 3 cm x 4 cm and shows the head of an animal with bent horns. Ground scanner eXp 4000 localized treasure chest with coin treasure in Mexico
Mexico is well known for its hidden treasures. Besides the famous ruins of Tenochtitla, an ancient aztec-city, or Chichen-Itza, a historic Mayan-city, there are a lot of gold and silver treasures buried deep under the Mexican ground. The search for the lost treasures was a big adventure for one of our customers too, which was worth the trouble. The treasure hunter detected an ancient treasure chest with valuable contents by using the eXp 4000 ground scanner and 3d metal detector. Brazilian Caxixi found with Evolution 3D Ground Scanner
A treasure hunter found this metal object with his Evolution 3d ground scanner, which is used for the search of precious metals like gold and silver. The hunter did not give any information about where the item was found, the possible age or the intended use of the artifact. Supposedly it’s a sort of musical instrument, probably a double-rattle. There are similarities with a Brazilian percussion instrument called “caxixi” which is usually made of rattan. The treasure is made of two hollow pieces, each similar to an egg. They are connected with a curved metal handle. A seal on one of the “eggs” can be an indication that the cavity is maybe filled with little stones or beads. A band wrapped around the handle is probably added for better handling (bearing area for the thumb)…
Black Hawk metal detector finds a hoard of ancient coins
Wars of past centuries have left our forefathers no other choice as to bury their valuables like gold, silver, jewelry and other objects of great value, to hide them from enemies. Several weeks ago a treasure hunter in Turkey found some of those buried artifacts with the OKM pulse induction metal detector . His treasure trove contains several coins and ancient figures which were hidden in 0,5 meters depth.
GeoSeeker – Geoelectrical water finder and cavity detector
The GeoSeeker utilizes a geoelectrical measurement procedure based on Schlumberger to read the soil resistivity. Based on that ground resistance the detector is capable to locate underground water deposits, water-bearing gravel and groundwater level as well as cavities like caves, tunnels, chambers and the like. Thus the geophysical detector can be deployed as water finder or cavity detector at the same time.
Ancient artifacts detected with eXp 5000 ground scanner
Those antique objects have been found by a treasure hunter in Lebanon with the OKM ground scanner eXp 5000. This historical find contained different miniature statues of a size of 15 – 25 cm, as well as several coins and rings with inscription. These artifacts are probably from the 17th or 18th century. At this time the today’s Lebanon still belonged to the former Ottoman Empire.
Golden miniature rhyton from Persian Empire detected in Iran
The long range gold detector Bionic 01 and the undercover metal detector Rover UC, a 3d ground scanner controlled by an Android Smart Phone, have been used by Iranian treasure hunters from Kermanshah to locate a golden miniature phyton, some oil lamps as well as several ancient coins from the Persian Empire.

Mummy found with the ‘eXp 5000’ ground scanner in Iraq
In 2010 the eXp 5000 again shows its agility for being a truly professional detector. During a customer training in Sulaymania, Iraq, a mummified cat was found. This discovery was found at a depth of about 1.5 m. In addition to the mummified animal a few coins were discovered.
Rover UC successful in Iran, hoard of coins excavated
About 300 pieces of these valuable precious coins have been found by a lucky Iranian treasure hunter. The coins have been located near Zanjan, about 300 km from Tehran, Iran. The treasure hunter is using the undercover gold metal detector Rover UC to find treasures, valuable targets and ancient artifacts from former empires in this region. These precious coins originate from the Sassanian empire, one of the most important Persian empires. And there are much more hidden treasures supposed in this area. Iran is rich of historic artifacts and ancient targets which are traces of the abundance of former Persian empires. The Rover UC gold detector detected this hoard of coins in a depth of approx. 4.70 m under the ground.
Iranian treasure hunter finds bronze artifacts in ancient grave
A treasure hunter from Iran sucessfully located an ancient grave with his 3d metal detector eXp 4000 from OKM. Inside the grave he discovered several bronze artifacts like figurines and ancient bells.
Ancient coins metal detected and unearthed in Syria
A large amount of more than 800 pieces of ancient coins has been detected by treasure hunters in Syria. They found the hoard by using the eXp 4000 metal detector and 3d ground scanner. This coin cache is very valuable and the value of each single coin is estimated from 150 – 8000 Euro.
World War II medal found in Tunisia
This medal has been detected by the 3d metal detector eXp 5000 in North Africa. It is obviously a German/Italian locket. The inscription says: “Campagna Italo-Tedesca in Africa. Italienisch-Deutscher Feldzug in Afrika.” This metal detector find reminds of the Italian German campaign in Africa in 1937/1942. Mussolini’s National Fascist Party created this Italian/German African campaign medal in memory of the actions of the German Africa Corps DAK (Deutsche Afrika Korps) in the North African campaign. After Italy’s capitulation and declaration of war against Germany in September and October of 1943 respectively, further wear of any Italian decorations or awards including the Italian/German African Campaign medal was prohibited. The front side of the medal shows the Fileni arch (Arco dei Fileni), which was built by Mussolini on the border between the Libyan provinces of Tripolitania and Cyrenaica in 1937 and destroyed in 1970.
Sassanian sword found by eXp 4000 in Iran
This treasure find is a sword found by a customer from Kermanshah, a city in the west of Iran. The material is a mixture of iron/lead/copper/tin/gold/silver and antimony. This metal detector find belongs to the Sassanian Empire in the region. The Sassanid Empire was the last pre-Islamic Persian Empire, ruled by the Sasanian Dynasty from 224 to 651. The Sassanid Empire, which succeeded the Parthian Empire, was recognized as one of the two main powers in Western Asia and Europe, alongside the Roman Empire and later the Byzantine Empire, for a period of more than 400 years. The detected sword has a weight of about 1650 g and a length of 45 cm. The target has been detected by the earth imager eXp 4000 in the depth about 185 cm in clay soil.
Hidden tomb discovered under church
An amateur actress uncovered the entrance to a 500-year-old secret chamber, which had been hidden for centuries, when she accidentally stamped her shoe through one of the floor tiles at St. Mary’s Church, in Redgrave, Suffolk. Just weeks before, a geophysicist had used state-of-the-art ground scan detectors (eXp 4000, Rover C II) to locate the long-forgotten vault. There was just one last thing to do … finding the entrance.
Historical treasure findings in Syria
Once again customers from the Middle East area informed us about new finds with their treasure detector eXp 4000. The precious ancient artifacts has been excavated in Syria. These very special targets were hidden about 1,20 m underground. The measurements in eXp 4000’s Ground Scan mode has been confirmed before digging with the DDV system (visual metal detector system with metal discrimination).
Precious bridle detected by Rover Deluxe
This beautiful treasure target shows an ancient bridle which was located by an OKM customer using the 3d metal detector Rover Deluxe. This precious target has been located near to Kermanshah, a western city of Iran. The target is of high value, its estimated age is more than 2600 years. The Rover Deluxe pays for itself after this precious find.
Treasure finds from Balkan area with eXp 4000
Since 1 year the owner of the OKM ground scanner eXp 4000 from the Balkan area is using his locating equipment with many success. He sent us some photos of his findings. Based on his historic knowledge he explored many interesting sites where possible antique treasures could be located. He scanned these areas with the 3d metal detector eXp 4000 and was able to locate many ancient items.
Ancient coins found with eXp 4000 in Greece
A treasure hunter from Greece, who is using eXp 4000, found several ancient coins within an old grave. The treasure contains about 54 coins in three different sizes and motifs. Unfortunately the treasure hunter could not give any details on the age or regional provenance of the coins.
Bowie knife located with eXp 5000 in an old tomb
Some successful treasure hunters wrote an email with the following content: “Our team found some treasures. We found some bronze objects in an old tomb. The finds are from about 1700 years ago. I attached one of it with this email. It is a bowie knife. […] I have a basic package of eXp 5000”. The 3d scan image, which has been created by the detector, shows the knife in red and green colors.
Prehistoric figurines found with Rover Deluxe in Iran
These ancient artifacts has been detected with the 3d metal detector and ground scanner Rover Deluxe in the region of Kurdistan in Iran. They have been found in a depth of about 2 m underground. The historic targets belong to 3500 years ago. They show original inhabitants of this area and the ploughing tools which were used for agriculture.
16 kg coins detected with OKM metal detector in Maghreb area
One of our customers from Maghreb in North Africa reported about his successful treasure hunt. He was using the 3d metal detector and ground scanner eXp 3000, the predecessor of the earth imager eXp 4000, when he located some anomalies inside the underground. The customer was searching in very uneven ground and therefor he used the 25 cm GPR probe of his geophysical phase reader to obtain accurate detecting results.
Bottles and spanish silver coins found in Suriname
A small team of treasure hunters from the US has been made a wonderful discovery on the coast of Suriname. By using the metal detector and treasure hunting detector eXp 4000 they located a lot of glass bottles. Furthermore they discovered a spanish sword as well as silver coins.
Treasure chest filled with coins excavated in Mexico
A group of treasure hunters from Mexico has successful used the metal detector Rover C to locate a buried wooden chest. Inside this box they found many copper coins with very interesting pictures on it. Several scans and the analysis of the 3d graphics of Rover C lead to the amazing treasure find.
Rover C II detects a goat statue made of copper and gold in Iran
End of 2008 some customers from the Middle East area located a small statue made of copper, zinc and gold, showing two goats. This ancient treasure find has been detected during archaeological surveys with metal detector Rover C II in about 1.40 meters depth under a stone with cryptical signs.
Cavefinder locates greek artefacts in the Ukraine
A group of historians and treasure hunters from Ukraine detected a large number of ancient greek artefacts near to the river of Dnepr. By using the geoelectrical detector Cavefinder it was possible to locate some voids under the surface. Inside those voids they found historic items from a greek settlement.
Golden statue found in Afghanistan
This golden statue has been found with metal detector Rover Deluxe in Afghanistan. The item has been located inside a cavity together with some other small pieces of metal in a depth of 4-5 meters under the ground.

Ancient door beaters found by metal detector eXp 4000
These ancient door beaters has been detected with eXp 4000 in the Middle East area. The beaters, made of pure gold, were used in ancient times on wooden doors. The targets were buried single in the ground and has been located at a depth of 140 cm. The gold rings were dug up without any patina visible on the surface and are well preserved.
Mysterious treasure finding in Greece

In 2008 an amazing discovery has been made in the United States by using our device Future I-160. Some group of treasure hunters detected a buried brass canon, filled with jewelries and gemstones. Next to it a beautiful jade dragon has been detected.
Ancient goat bells discovered in Iran
Also in the beginning of 2008 satisfied customers inform us about their new discoveries with one of our metal detectors. An old grave including human remains together with some copper rings, and valuable historical goat or sheep bells has been detected in Iran by using the Future 2005. The grave, probably the tomb of a shepherd, including its valuable objects has been located in a depth of 210 cm in clay soil. The ancient bells with sizes 10 cm, 12 cm, 15 cm length and 6 cm, 9 cm, 13 cm width show different forms and unique structures. Each bell includes 1, 2 or 3 small balls who create the pleasant sound when ringing the bell. In former times bells were hung on goats or sheep to keep evil spirits away, so does inhabitants tell.
Unexpected discovery in Saudi Arabia
A customer from Saudi Arabia informed us about his beautiful discovery. The treasure has been located by the metal detecting instrument eXp 3000 – the former model of eXp 4000. The treasure seeker informed us about the following discoveries, which has been made: a gold statue, a Nofretete statue and a Pharao statue. There are still lots of hidden treasures which wait to be discovered in Saudi Arabia and other Middle East countries.
Gold prospector detects ancient gold coins using Earth Imager eXp 4000
A greek gold prospector, metal detecting with Earth Imager eXp 4000, found several gold coins. He told us about his finding during a visit in our company. He located the treasure in approx. 2 meters depth. These ancient coins are very precious, as confirmed by archeologists.
Future I-160 locates remains of war material
On a field in the UK different objects like ammunition, crockery, remains of fighter planes and even old documents has been found with the geophysical detector Future I-160. Under comprehensive supervision of historians the valuable findings has been excavated and filed. One of the most valuable and interesting items was a well preserved china plate from AJ Wilkinson LTD.
Earth Imager eXp 5000 detects 12 gold coins
During a metal detection on loamy ground a satisfied customer from middle east discovered gold coins inside of a stone. He was using the Earth Imager eXp 5000 with Super Sensor and VLF emitter. In one of his emails he wrote: “Again i scaned the measured area and in 320 cm i found 12 gold coins inside of stone.”
Future I-160 locates remains of a fighter plane
An incredible discovery has been made with the Future I-160 in the city of London, near to Buckingham Palace! With presence of pilot Sgt. Ray Holmes scientist Malcolm Weale, managing director of Geofizz LTD., discovered the engine of a hurricane fighter plane crashed during the Second World War. Channel Five programme reported live that Malcolm’s geophysical measuring instrument was so accurate that the hole dug for the crashed plane was not even one foot out.
eXp 3000 discovered bullions of the guerillas
In november 2005 some of our customers found a wooden chest filled up with gold bars. Those bullions were buried during the World War II by greek guerillas. The treasure hunters and archeologists used different metal detectors and geophysical instruments like the Earth Imager eXp 3000, the predecessor of eXp 4000.
Earth Imager eXp 3000 detects ancient dagger
This ancient dagger from the early middle age was found in a depth of 60 cm. After unsuccessful searches with different other metal detectors the dagger has been detected with the basic equipment of the Earth Imager eXp 3000. Only the iron blade kept well preserved over all the long time the object was buried in the ground. There is only a small piece left which belongs to the wooden handle of the dagger. The exact place of this discovery is undisclosed.
Grailfinder detects ancient cellar in France
An ancient wine cellar has been located on an old french castle by using the geophysical instrument Grailfinder. This old cave which is estimated from the 15th century by experts and so has an unexpected high historical value, has been located in a depth of 21 meters. Planete Detection IDS has led this professional underground research and located the entrance of this void. By presence of the first french channel TF1 they demonstrated the metal detector Grailfinder, found the cellar and finally went down with the cameramen and discovered 4 big rooms. “It was just wonderful!” so IDS.
Ancient glas vase was found with Rover C
Customers from Greece proudly informed us about this incredible finding with their geophysical instrument Rover C. Although if non-metallic, the device Rover C located this glas vase as an underground anomaly in the measured area. Determination of position and depth of this ancient target was also possible due to the 3d software program. The vase has been detected in a depth of about 1 m in neutral soil conditions.
Walkabout Deluxe detects ancient wreath
A sensational discovery has been made by hobby archeologists in an area of the former Ottoman Empire. With the metal detector Walkabout Deluxe, comparable with the current detector Rover Deluxe, a golden wreath (crown) has been located. The metal detectorists confirmed that next to the crown much more items has beed found. However the golden wreath is the most valuable relict of the dig. Because of the integrated metal discrimination they could find out that the located object was made of gold.
Rover C locates hoard of coins
A breathtaking adventure recovered a treasure of gold coins with the help of the metal detector Rover C. This coins of gold were detected in a depth of 1,30 m. Because of the extensive distribution of the gold coins in the ground even this great depth was no barrier for the treasure hunters.
Ancient Flagstone detected with Rover C
During a measurement with the metal detecting device Rover C an antic flagstone with historical relief has been detected. Although the plate is made of stone and non-metallic, the object could be recognized as an anomaly and so easily located. Further fragments of the trimmed rock has been located in the surrounded area of the flagstone.

Localizer 3000 detects a piece of a meteorite
Copper located with Rover Deluxe
This piece of copper rock was found with the metal detector Rover Deluxe. The user informed us that he located the copper rock in a depth of 50 cm, with the Rover Deluxe and its activated discriminator.
Walkabout Deluxe detects Byzantine coins
By using the metal detector Walkabout Deluxe, comparable with the current device Rover Deluxe, a collection of Byzantine coins has been discovered. The coins were in an excellent condition because they were embedded in a small pottery.
